Winners announced for the "Ask Your Grandparents 4" competition

The winners of the fourth edition of "ASK YOUR GRANDPARENTS" competition were announced in a special ceremony in the context of "MEMORY DAYS".

The event took place at Tirana Hotel, attended by students, parents, teachers, former political persecutees, journalists and foreign embassy representatives.

More than 100 teenagers from 15 to 19 years old from all over Albania submitted their multimedia work on the communist past. The winners of the best works will participate in the study trip in Auschwitz, Krakow and Wroclaw in Poland and all top 10 works will enjoy a study trip all over Albania in places related to communist past.

FIRST PLACE: Eni Duka, Klevis Caka dhe Eni Shani, "Jan Kukuzeli" high school in Durrës won with "DiktArt".

SECOND PLACE for Ledjana Kanina, "Fuat Babani" high school in Bilisht with "My Grandfather".

THIRD PLACE for Vivia Horaj, Livia Mevlani, Elina Shametaj from "Asim Zeneli" high school in Gjirokastra with their joint work "Communist Regime in the Stone City of Gjirokastra".

NETWORK PRIZE went to Klodian Çelmeta; Ardien Gjabri; Evi Robaj from "Petro Nini Luarasi" high school in Tirana for their work "Sparrows".

APPRECIATION PRIZES for Fatmiroshe Xhemalaj, expert of school curricula; Reshat Kripa, former political persecutee, and Thomas Schrapel, the head of KAS in Armenia for his contribution to IDMC over previous years.
