"Urban Memory: How to do things with cities" – Tirana

Published on

The workshop series "Urban Memory: How to Do Things with Cities" came to a close in Tirana on 21‒23 April 2017.

The workshop started in the same way as in Vlora and Korca. First, the participants read a text from Michel Butor's Mobile. After that the participants went through the images that had submitted in advance, telling in first person why the selected image showed something that they cared about. In the second part of the day, the participants went out in the city for two hours to do research ‒ make observations, walk and think.

On Day 2 the workshop focused on writing in groups.

On Day 3 the morning reading was followed by an extended group editing session. The activity ended with participants filling out evaluation forms for the workshop and each participant received a certificate.
