"Public policy and governance" in Shkodra

Published on

IDMC organized a training on "Public Policy and Governance" in Shkoder. Held at ARKA Youth Centre, it was attended by 23 students and young people coming from Shkoder and surrounding cities such as Puke, Koplik etc. Some of them worked in the field of politics, law and economics.

All participants were very enthusiastic about the training. They admitted to having learned many things and never thought they would be able to apply the knowledge gained in the first session to the second part of the workshop. The participants emphasized that the interaction with the trainer helped them differentiate between the various and concrete public policies.

In an evaluation form delivered from an IDMC representative at the end of the workshop, the participants said they were very satisfied with how the training was organized and the use of non-formal education. Most importantly, the participants noted the positive differences with the other workshops they had attended before. According to them, it was the first time they were provided detailed instructions prior to the training, while the interaction with the trainer made it easier for them to express themselves. They asked if other workshops could be held in Shkoder so they could attend again.

* This workshop was supported by ARKA Youth Centre in Shkodra.
