Event for 49th anniversary of Spac Revolt

Several actors involved in the field of remembrance in Albania took part in a ceremony at former Spac prison to commemorate the 49th anniversary of the Spac Revolt.

In he remarks, IDMC executive director Dr. Jonila Godole said it was unfortunate that Spac has become a pilgrimage to IDMC for the study trips it organizes with young people, but it still is not a national museum. Dr. Godole also proposed that next year on the 50th anniversary of the Revolt, May 21st could be a day of national of commemoration.

Alongside the commemorative ceremony, teacher Tone Laska from Rreshen and her students had the opportunity to visit the former prison premises and discuss about it.
