"Children of the Dictatorship" screening in Berat

IDMC presented on 11 April 2019 two volumes of the pedagogical manual "Communism through Archival Documents" and the "Oral History Manual" for teachers of Berat. Among other, the teachers were familiarized with IDMC work in raising awareness of young people on the consequences of the dictatorship crimes. IDMC encouraged them to include their high school students in creative projects aiming their reflection about the past.

On the second day in Berat, on 12 April 2019, IDMC awarded a gratitude diploma for "Drita e Dijes" high school in Berat, for the contribution in refection of young people on the communist past through their involvement in the national competition "Ask Your Grandparents". IDMC screened also the "Children of the Dictatorship" documentary. After the documentary screening, young people had the chance to discuss with Ritvana Mena, documentary character and Dr. Jonila Godole for the importance of getting informed about the country's past.
