Annual Report 2019–2020

The Institute for Democracy, Media and Culture (IDMC) continued to focus on the issues it has been pursuing for years, such as: memory as a mission to raise awareness of the younger generation and Albanian society on the consequences of dictatorship; the political education of young people in the face of the challenges that threaten democracy from the rise of populism, from possible manipulations through fake media; increasing the capacity of teachers through manuals and trainings and raising the awareness of the Albanian society on dictatorship through scientific publications and thematic exhibitions.

On the other hand, for the sake of the pandemic many of the IDMC activities were adapted to online formats giving the opportunity to become part of the cooperation to hundreds of young people at home and abroad. This trend will continue and we will integrate online communication in the future in all our activities to be closer to our audience.
